Suddenly awake and jump out of bed

Alarm clock did not go off is it dead

You are now very late

In a frustrated state

Your alarm was set for nighttime instead

Inspiration

I HATE when this happens, don't you?! This actually happened to me the other day. I had work at 7AM at the hotel. I suddenly awoke and looked at the clock which read 7:11AM? How did this happen?

I was so confused and then checked the alarm settings. I had done it again; I had set the alarm for 6:15PM instead. Luckily, I was relieving my twin brother Jon(We work at the same hotel). So, that situation turned out all right. But, it is definitely very frustrating! These situations usually end up with me looking like the guy in the picure above.

So, how do we avoid looking like the guy above? Do read further!

Alarm: My Enemy?

I was thinking about these situations today and had a revelation. Perhaps my alarm is my enemy? He(or is it a she?) purposefully does the opposite of what I tell him/her to do simply to annoy the heck out of me! Well, it must be working because I am ANNOYED!

I do not like being annoyed, so I will have you know that I am currently working on an ingenious plan of revenge. This epidemic needs to contained!! This act of inhumanity has got to be stopped! The alarms of this world must realize that we(its faithful and loyal owners)are upset and will not stand by as they damage our lives and our very existence! I know for a fact that after my plan has been set in motion, my alarm clock will forever and always regret the day that he/she chose to backstab me!

Who would like to be brave and venture along with me in this fight against our alarms? Who is willing to fight on the front lines?

For those of you who would like to join me in collaborarting this elaborate plan, I will be hosting a mandatory meeting this upcoming Friday at my place at 8AM. Just please remember to set your alarms for the daytime instead of the nighttime! Better yet, don't even sleep at all, just stay up and beging thinking of ideas for our meeting. How embarrasing would it be if your alarm backstabbed you as you were trying to wake up and make this vital meeting on time! I can just imagine all the alarms getting together for gossip tea time around the table. "So, I made my owner late to his meeting today, AGAIN! He is so gullibe and naïve!"

No, we must avoid this at all costs! This meeting to overcome the conniving alarms of our life has to happen! It needs to happen! It must happen! We must stick together and take these criminals down! They have been causing us pain for far too long! So please, do whatever it takes to not be late. You can even tent out in my backyard! I have extra pillows and blankets. We can camp out and roast marshmallows and weiners! We can even do some pre-planning! We will call it the "Premptive Strike Against Alarms" bonfire! You can even come to this camp out whenever you want. There is no need to be here on time, so you don't even have to worry about turning that STUPID alarm on!

The Battle Against The Alarms Is Not For The Faint-Hearted!

Please Remember!

I hope you have enjoyed this Limerick hub friends! Have a great day and happy hubbing to everyone! And whatever you do, please do not forget about our upcoming meeting! Until next time! (Yes, pun intended)
